Hansbert Vanhove is a Belgian composer/producer/artist known under the aliasses Dirrrty Dirk, Dafuq, Groove Inferno You & I, The Houndz Feat. TOPcrew and Lockdown Posse.

He’s also one of the composers of Flemish singer Abdou’s hitsingles and the owner of the record-labels La Musique Du Beau Monde, Knalhits amongst others.

He’s also the founder of La Musique Du Beau Monde and the producer of the legendary Retro Arena Compilation-series.

Dirrrty Dirk

Hansbert Vanhove started releasing tracks under this alias as early as 2003. The first E.P. was “Berliner Old School Posse” on the Belgian label Mostiko. It contained the songs “Organ Seduction”, “Dominator” and “Backstabbers”. Later on he released clubhits such as “The Party Station’s Here To Stay”, “Lacrimosa”, “Man On Mars” and “Reaching Out”, just to name some.

You & I

You & I might be Hansbert Vanhove’s most-succesfull project. The track “Suitcase Stories”, a cover version of Duran Duran’s “Save A Prayer” was released in October 2019 on Spinnin’ Records.

Groove Inferno

This project shows the more clubsite of Hansbert Vanhove. The first release was in 2003 on legendary Belgian clublabel Bonzai Records. The second one 15 years later (“Keep Going On(Montreal)”). In 2020 Groove Inferno released a cover version of Mario Winans “I Don’t Wanna Know”.

Lockdown Posse

A novelty-record was released in 2020 under the alias Lockdown Posse. Hansbert thought it might be fun to make a track about the corona-curfew in Belgium during that year. Early 2021 when Covid19 hit hard in Holland, the track “Tik Tok (Hier is de Avondklok)” had a second life over there.

The Houndz Present TOPCrew

In 2006 Hansbert Vanhove produced this track as a promotional record for Belgian dance-radio-station TOPradio. The Houndz also happens to be his alias at Sabam, the Belgian author’s-Association.

Dafuq

Dafuq brings Hansbert back to the roots, late 90’s beats and vintage-synths. “French Kiss” and “#EpicBig” both went on to become clubhits in Benelux

As the owner of Belgian dance-label La Musique Du Beau Monde, Hansbert Vanhove was the A&R of several big international clubhits. “Rock Your Body” by Phonkers, “Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle)” by Laurent Wery Feat. Swift K.I.D. & Dev and all David Latour’s hitrecords, such as “Venus Vs Mars”, “Lady Masquerade” and “One Day”.
He also used to be the initiator of legendary old-school-compilation-series Retro Arena as well as other succesfull compilations such as TOPrequest, Mayday Belgium, The Oh!, Club Vibes, Mix Warriors jus to name some.
He’s also co-writer and executive producer of hits by Belgian dutch-speaking singer Abdou with hits such as “Laatste Dans”, “Hart Van Goud” and “Geachte Ik”
